About Us
The Form Foundation is an independent entity inspired by Formlabs and created by “formlings and formerlings” (our loving nickname for current and former teammates who have helped build Formlabs to what it is today).
We believe that humanity’s capacity for creative problem solving is deep and broad, coming from people and organizations from all walks of life. Just as Formlabs works to provide access to digital fabrication technology, we aspire to enable access to technical education and careers so that we can help cultivate the next generation of engineers, business professionals, and founders of companies like Formlabs.

To make STEM fields more diverse by inspiring and empowering exceptional young people to thrive in technical fields regardless of their circumstances.
Giving Approach
To date, we have raised more than $500,000 to begin making grants to organizations that align with our mission. We aim to give funds using the following pillars as a guideline:
STEM education, inspiration and empowerment: in the spirit of Formlabs and our mission to provide access to technology, we explicitly aim to work with programs in STEM fields to create the future members of our team and other game-changing technology companies.
Target the “missing one-offs”: we believe there are far more exceptional young people out there than are currently able to reach their full potential. We look to empower high achieving young people who encounter major socioeconomic and other barriers to realizing their stellar potential. Add value: we aim to donate our money in a way that allows organizations to do more, rather than just adding to an already large and capable endowment.
